BIO
Born in Quito-Ecuador and raised in Italy. My passion for production design emerged through the study of film where my inspiring master and mentor Roberto Frisone captivated my imagination of the multiple design possibilities. I worked for several years as a prop buyer before becoming a set decorator. I then collaborated as Art Director with Barbara Enriquez, set decorator and Oscar nominee for Roma directed by Alfonso Cuarón and winner in 2011 of the Silver Berlin Bear for best production design. We worked together in Sin Muertos No Hay Carnaval, a Sebastián Cordero’s film, one of the greatest directors in South America.
In 2016 I moved to London to do a Master’s Course in Theatre Design. I am passionate about translating scripts into tangible images. The interaction of light, texture, colours and architecture is the main focus of my design and how the space created serves the story development and characters. I am known for working efficiently under pressure, prioritising delivery of key tasks and lighting up the set with my positive character. I feel that production design is a modus vivendi where one’s life becomes a constant research. I deeply enjoy the exploration and the attention to detail of the world in my daily life. I am blessed to work in a career that makes me truly fulfilled and happy.
